If you've been looking for a TOTALLY shame-free environment where you can learn ballet, make likeminded friends and document your progress, here it is. One of the BEST ways to rapidly improve technique AND stay motivated in ballet is to CAPTURE. 👏 YOUR. 👏 PROGRESS. 👏 But you may have experienced the awkwardness that comes with trying to film yourself in class, especially if you've been shamed by your teachers or peers. Enter: Film Friendly Ballet - learn the basics of ballet in a safe, free spirited environment that WELCOMES those who want to document their dance journey! - 🩰 IN THIS WORKSHOP YOU WILL: • Enhance your ballet technique with a barre warm up & basic choreography lead by the incredible Kelsey Sheppard, all in a shame-free space • Make friends with other adult ballerinas & build a community of likeminded dancers • Make beautiful memories from your first moments as a ballet dancer that will last a lifetime • Be allowed to capture your progress in real time and learn how to study & enhance your areas of improvement with compassion, rather than toxic perfectionism - LOCATION: Gibney Studio 890 Broadway 5th floor, New York, NY 10003 - STUDIO 5-2 WHEN: Decmber 16, 2023 2pm - 4pm TEACHER: Kelsey Sheppard - 💖 WHO IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR? This experience will be PERFECT for you if you're: • a beginner ballet dancer looking to improve your technique • a content creator hoping to document your ballet journey • a "late starter" longing for the chance to "perform" • a free spirited dancer wants to try something new & have fun! ⛔ WHO THIS IS NOT FOR: This workshop is 1000% not suitable for you if: • you do NOT feel comfortable knowing you may end up in the background of someone else's video • you're judgemental, hyper-critical of others, close minded & unwilling to heal from the struggles of toxic perfectionism - ❓ FAQs: "Will a professional videographer record me?" No. This is simply a space where YOU are welcome to film yourself at certain points during class, if you so choose "Do I HAVE to film myself?" No! You just have to be comfortable with others filming themselves (and know that you may end up in the background of someone else's video) "Will I have to dance solo?" You will ALWAYS dance in a group, never alone "What do I wear?" Please wear soft ballet slippers, not pointe shoes. Other than that, wear whatever you want!

Cancellation Policy

Because there are a limited number of available spots, workshops can only be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund. Day of cancellations cannot be refunded. Please reach out to hello@veronicaviccora.com to cancel.
