If you've been looking for a TOTALLY shame-free environment where you can learn ballet, make likeminded friends and document your progress, here it is. Come bask in the magic of Nutcracker season by learning an easy, basic choreography specifically designed with adult beginners in mind. Enter with little to no ballet experience, and leave feeling like a graceful sugar plum fairy. There's nothing like the holiday season in New York City! Come get into the holiday spirit by dancing alongside our incredibly warm and welcoming adult ballet community, all in a stunning studio overlooking Manhattan's beautiful City Hall Park. - 🩰 IN THIS WORKSHOP YOU WILL: • Explore basic ballet technique & choreography lead by the incredible Kelsey Sheppard, all in a shame-free space • Make friends with other adult ballerinas & build a community of likeminded dancers • Become the sugar plum fairy your inner child always wanted to be, regardless of your age, body or experience level! - LOCATION: Gibney Studio 280 Broadway, New York, NY 10003 WHEN: Decmber 21, 2024 4pm - 6pm TEACHER: Kelsey Sheppard - 💖 WHO IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR? This experience will be PERFECT for you if you're: • a beginner ballet dancer looking to improve your technique • a content creator hoping to document your ballet journey • a "late starter" longing for the chance to "perform" • a free spirited dancer wants to try something new & have fun! ⛔ WHO THIS IS NOT FOR: This workshop is 1000% not suitable for you if: • you're judgemental, hyper-critical of others or close minded. We're all about having fun here - ❓ FAQs: "Can I come even if I'm not an adult beginner?" Of course! You're always welcome to come just for the good vibes and new friends! "Will I have to dance solo?" You will ALWAYS dance in a group, never alone "What do I wear?" Please wear soft ballet slippers, not pointe shoes. Other than that, wear whatever you want!
